NWDI recently partnered with PropStrip, a renovation and restoration business that specialises in stripping back properties to reveal their hidden potential. The founder came to me with a clear idea: they wanted a strong, distinctive brand that captured the raw, hands-on nature of their work, while still feeling professional, contemporary, and versatile.
We kicked things off by discussing their vision, values, and target audience in detail. It quickly became clear that the identity needed to reflect transformation, the act of removing layers, revealing original character, and rebuilding with care. From this, the creative concept of a “peeled wall revealing brickwork underneath” emerged as a powerful visual metaphor.
Armed with this idea, I explored early sketches in my notebook, experimenting with angles, scale, and how best to balance simplicity with story. This evolved into a clean, minimal icon that captures the process of stripping back in a single glance. Alongside the icon, we developed a bold logotype using a modern sans serif to reflect the business’s confident, practical style.
In our first presentation, I shared the logo system, colour palette, and supporting visuals, including a deep blue, warm brick red, and off-white that nod to real materials used on-site. We also explored how the brand would come to life across vehicle signage, workwear, and social media. With feedback in hand, I made subtle refinements to ensure the identity worked across both digital and physical applications.
The final result is a brand that’s strong, striking, and full of character, just like the properties PropStrip works on. Delivered with a suite of ready-to-use assets, usage guidance, and file formats for every need, the business is now equipped with a brand that feels built to last. One that will stand out in a competitive industry and grow with them as they uncover even more potential.
